For an alarming 64 months on the trot the nitrogen dioxide pollution levels at Manchester Metropolitan University have been illegal, breaking the UK and EU limits and the health guidelines of the World Health Authority. “The campus air looks clean, but the staff and students are in the thick of it” says Jackie. Jackie Pearcey has welcomed the Lib Dem manifesto commitment to introduce a legal, regulated market for cannabis, saying "This is an evidence-based approach to the issues around drug use. Manchester's Spice epidemic has shown that going down the enforcement route does not stop drug addiction and can often make matters worse. Drug addiction is a health and mental health issue and should be treated as such in a properly regulated way.
